Overview

A unique maritime learning environment geared towards educating people of all ages.  We specialize in the all encompassing aspects of boat building and sailing.  Hands on training of building and then sailing your own sailboat for people ages 8 to adult. We believe in all things nautical and Promotion of enjoying water fully. Scuba classes are offered to fully realize the wonders of the water experience.

Mission

Empowering all people to feel the accomplishment and satisfaction of building a sailing, oar, or motor driven vessel by hand, while gaining the knowledge and confidence to successfully launch this vessel on the water.

 

Our organization was founded by Pat Simpson.  The idea behind the mission statement in thought and practice was for him and other like minded individuals to enjoy the self reliance, character building qualities, and satisfaction of boat building from the ground up.  The founder of the organization and his immediate initial staff are all south Floridians.  Ocean life, sea going, and fun in the sun on the water are a way of life for them. 

            This love of the water is a gift that is meant to be shared with as many people as possible.  The method of sharing is in class room demonstration of boat building with the students actually building the boat.  The courses are laced with common sense simple techniques and a constant message of enjoy the water throughout the course.  All courses emphasize, leisure boating, sailing, safety, global cruising, responsibility, self-reliance, and an overwhelming sense of self-satisfaction.
